While the Onesto frequently hosts both wedding ceremonies and receptions, couples looking for a place to hold their wedding ceremony in downtown Canton should consider our restored church facility, The Old Stone Chapel, just a short walk from the Onesto Event Center.

Is the Onesto Hotel still a hotel?

No – but it used to be when it opened in 1929. We can refer you to nearby hotels who our clients frequently patronize in conjunction with our events. The old Onesto hotel rooms have since been renovated into luxury apartments. We do offer a complimentary bridal suite and have limited corporate suites for overnight accommodations.




Will apartment guests have access to my event?

No. The Historic Onesto Lofts are located on the upper floors of the building. Residents do not use the main entrance of the event center and take a private elevator up to their apartments. They are also notified of the day of each event.




What areas of the venue will my guests have access to?

Event center guests have access to the main entrance on the first floor, which includes a grand marble staircase, the spacious and majestic lobby, the Onesto Room, the Grand Ballroom, and the mezzanine area of ballroom. Does the Onesto feature outdoor space?

No. We do offer magnificent views for photos on the open air top level of our parking deck.




Describe the parking.

The attached parking garage provides over 300 free spaces for Onesto wedding and event guests. Our parking deck is monitored by our security staff for the duration of your event. Additionally, on surrounding streets parking is free on weekdays after 5:00 pm and all weekends. Monitored parking is available on nearby 2nd Street. Ask us about valet services for your special event.




What is the capacity?

The Grand Ballroom comfortably seats up to 280 guests – this includes room for a dance floor to party the night away. Don’t need a dance floor for your event? Without a dance floor, our Grand Ballroom can seat 300. And with the additional space in our mezzanine, the Onesto can accommodate weddings up to 320.

Our space is innovative and can be creatively arranged to accommodate any range of guests with splendor and comfort.




Do you have wedding day/night accommodations?

Our only accommodations are for Onesto wedding clients who take advantage of our onsite one-bedroom Onesto Bridal Suite for use on the day of the wedding through the day after the wedding. Additional suites including a two-bedroom Bliss Suite located in the adjacent Bliss Tower is available at an additional cost. See more.

For wedding guests, the Courtyard Marriott is our preferred hotel. Special rates are available for those attending weddings and special events at the Onesto. The Marriott also offers a complimentary shuttle to and from the Onesto for your guests.




What products/services are included in the rental cost?

Your booking at the Historic Onesto guarantees the venue for 5 hours. Additional hours are available upon request.

Venue rental costs include the event space, tables, choice of chairs, bar service, an event attendant at the front desk, doorman, free parking in our parking deck, and wedding coordination. This also includes audio / visual equipment (i.e. projector, microphone) and 5 large TV monitors throughout the venue – perfected for tributes and toasts. The event spaces, parking and complimentary suite for they bridal party to prepare. A beautiful piano in the lobby is perfect for cocktail hour accompaniment (we can recommend musicians, too). Uplighting is available at a nominal charge.




Does the Onesto provide linens and decorations?

The Onesto does not provide linens and decorations except Christmas decor during winter holidays. We are happy to recommend reputable vendors for your decor, tablescapes and more.


Does the Onesto provide food and beverage services?

The Onesto does not provide food services. However we do provide a list of preferred caterers that we have worked with throughout the years. The Onesto must provide all beverage service and we offer multiple options that suit every budget.  




What does setup include? Who cleans up what?

The Onesto staff sets up tables and chairs according to the agreed upon room layout. The Onesto does not provide linens, centerpieces, decor, table settings and does not help with additional setup. The Onesto does offer to hold special items throughout the event so they are not lost or misplaced. Sentimental items, cards and gifts, are gathered and kept in a secure room. Clients are responsible for food, entertainment and decor cleanup.




When will I have access to enter and set up for my event?

9am – the day of the event. Guests who choose to stay in one of our bridal suites the night before their wedding may access the venue earlier. Earlier set up times, up to two days, are available depending on scheduled events.




Closing time?

Most weddings conclude at 11pm. Our clients declare their start and finish times.



Will there be someone at the front desk during my event?

Yes, an Onesto staff member will be available at the front desk to greet guests, check coats, and help answer any questions (such as seating arrangements, etc.). This staff member will also monitor the event, guests and gift card box throughout the event.




Does the Onesto provide security?

In addition to a front desk attendant, a doorman and up to three security officers monitor the main entrance and assists in keeping our events private. We also provide security in our parking deck during events.




Can I have my wedding shower at the Onesto?

Yes – it’s an enchanting space for any gathering from 25 to 300 guests (on Sunday only)!




does the onesto offer any discounts?

Yes! Groups who book in January – April can take advantage of our off-season rate. Discounted rates are also available for weekday, Friday and Sunday bookings.

We also offer discounts for active military members with valid ID. 




Can you recommend a good wedding planner? Other vendors?

Yes. We have a number we can recommend. We have developed a seamless method for meetings, set up, delivery, drop off, pick up and more to ensure a lovely, memorable event for our guests. If an outside wedding planner is preselected, that is completely fine, but with our onsite coordination, most brides do not feel the need to do so.

While you’re researching and planning all the other aspects of your wedding, schedule a tour, consultation, and see the Onesto firsthand. So many of our guests fall in love with our space the moment they are met with the impressive marble staircase leading them to the Grand Lobby, featuring large windows and cathedral ceilings and the Italian renaissance architecture.
